Chocolate Walnut Blondies
Some days I try to eat a bit healthier...but it always ends in dessert.
So this time I added some walnuts - walnuts boost your mood, help you sleep better, and improves your metabolism.
If you love nuts and you love melt in your mouth milk chocolate this is the perfect recipe for you.
This recipe can feed a party of 10... But it can also feed a party of 1 😊. Your choice.
I don't like huge chunks of nuts in my desserts so for this recipe I crushed the walnuts in a food processor.
Prep time for this dessert can run anywhere from 10-15 minutes.
- 1 cup melted butter
- 2 cups white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 3/4 cup white flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup of walnuts
- 1 cup of milk chocolate
Whisk butter and sugar for 5 minutes
Add in eggs
Sift in flour and baking powder into the mixture.
For this recipe I divided my batter in half before forming it into the pan. Half of the batter consisted of only walnuts, the other half chocolate and walnuts. Sprinkle the remaining walnuts on the top.
- Preheat and bake at 350⁰
- Bake for 30-40 minutes
- Test brownies with a toothpick all the way to the bottom of the pan.
These brownies will be sweet and chewy
You may also substitute the white sugar with 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar.
